This is still a lovely rose fragrance, but it definitely lost something in the reformulation some time in the last few years (2014?). i've been on a long search for the perfect rose perfume. no synthetic roses for stella. Rose and amber instead of vanilla, woods, or patchouli. This is one of the few fragrances I wore in this time of my life that I can still wear and completely enjoy without feeling like Im trying to be someone who isn't me any longer. I will say, though, that this probably the only scent that I would describe as mature that I actually enjoy wearing. I like rose notes and that is definitely what I get from this perfume- pretty much just pure rose. Pop is a fun and bold fragrance with a woodsy and floral scent. Always searching for a new and better rose scent although there's already a number of rose perfumes in one's collection and yet there's always room for one more. Stella McCartney hadnt been making fashion for very long when it debuted, but it was unique.

This inspired me to seek out many other versions of the amber and rose combination, and all of them have been deeper, heavier fragrances. The original version is still my favorite. It's also not a light, fresh, dewy, modern rose like Aerin Rose de Grasse. I may try the 2014 version in the hope that a different formulation works better on my skin.
